Ékété is a African based fashion and lifestyle brand conceived through the fortunate stroke of serendipity while it's founder was prepping for a vacation and needed the perfect handmade bag to compliment her outfit. It was love at first sight after seeing what Mama Esther - the artisan commissioned to make what will now be known as the very first Ékété bag- had produced. This pioneer bag has since then gone on to inspire other beautiful, uniquely crafted fashion and home decor accessories handmade with love from Africa.

Ours is a story of serendipity, love and most importantly Passion. The passion to preserve African traditions and create beauty through a blend age-old craft and contemporary aesthetics whilst empowering the artisans by supporting and showing off their craft to the world beyond Africa.
